David Shirlow

David Shirlow has degrees in Law and Economics and is a Division Director with Macquarie Bank. He has been involved with the financial services industry since 1985. Prior to joining Macquarie he was a specialist superannuation lawyer and an industry consultant on government policy matters. David heads up the Technical Services Group within the Macquarie Financial Services Group and is responsible for the provision of technical support to financial advisers. He is also responsible for technical input into government lobbying and product development within the group. He is a member of the Economic Savings and Taxation Committee of IFSA and has been a key driving force in lobbying for term allocated pensions and other superannuation law improvements. He was an inaugural winner of an IFSA industry award recognising his contribution to public policy and the industry.
