Obviously people do not understand the commission system or the need for it, You may argue about the quantum, With the reduction of commission payments advisers are not motivated to seek the young family people with say two children. It is just not profitable what with all the new regulations. The previous commission system actually benefited all three parties being the consumer, adviser and life office. The life offices shot themselves in the foot by proposing to cut commissions now they realise that was non productive for all.
