Hugh Bannister Hugh Bannister is the founder and Chairman of IES and has over 25 years experience in providing advice to government, industry and regularity bodies on electricity markets and macro energy policy. He has particular expertise in development and implementation of energy policy, energy market design and industry reform and the application of mathematical modelling to a range of complex technical problems. Hugh has led a major aid project to assist the counties of ASEAN develop their energy modelling and policy analysis capability. His current focus is to promote the R&D activities within IES to ensure that it retains its leadership role in market design and associated software tools.
